FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Common Sense Systems Releases Maintenance Version 2.03 of the Precision Score Sparring Electronic Scoring System for the Martial Arts.

WOODINVILLE, WA - June 10, 2003 -- Common Sense Systems, Inc. announced today the release of the latest version of their Precision Score electronic scoring software for sparring, version 2.03. The upgrade features options to customize how deductions are scored and displayed, and allows scores to be shown as negative numbers if the deductions are greater than the actual number of points scored.

"There is a variable in the way differing Taekwondo organizations score their deductions," said John Sambrook, President and CEO of Common Sense Systems, Inc. "Generally, it is standard to have two warnings, or one deduction, resulting in a full point deduction. The discrepancy is when to have the deduction subtracted from the score, and when to display it. We saw the need for tournament directors to have more control over customizing to their unique style of scoring. This newest version of Precision Score targets this need, and the feedback has been tremendously positive."

Precision Score 2.03 allows the user to to either display the score with points for deductions subtracted immediately as they are issued, or to wait until the end of the match to display the scores with points subtracted for deductions. Users can also choose whether they want to display the score with the points subtracted for deductions or not.

As in version 2.02, the option for automatically declaring the winner after the opponent reaches three deductions remains. If preferred, this feature can easily be turned off.

Another added feature in Version 2.03 allows for scores to go below zero, displaying them as negative numbers. If the number of deductions exceed the awarded points, and the system is configured to display the scores with points subtracted for deductions, a negative score results. "This feature alone significantly impacts the way the competitors, judges, and spectators experience the match," said Sambrook.

These new additions to the software add to the family of configurable, customized options, making the system more robust, not more complicated. "Common Sense Systems is committed to maintain Precision Score's reliability and easy-to-set up, easy-to-use, and easy-to-read reputation, as it has from its first conception. This keeps the the focus of tournaments where it belongs -- the competition."

Taekwondo competitors of all styles can benefit from these upgrades, and tournament and school directors can adapt Precision Score to work for their tournament and event rules even more easily than before. Precision Score customers will be happy to know that the price remains the same, with complete systems selling for as low as under $350.00.
