Are there computer systems where Precision Score doesn't work well?

We have found one combination of computer and operating system where Precision Score does not respond as crisply as it should.

The system in question is a Compaq Armada 7800 (Pentium II, 300Mhz) laptop running Windows 2000. Under this combination of hardware and software, Precision Score runs more slowly than it should.

For the time being, we recommend that you not use Windows 2000 on older, slower laptops. We have found that Precision Score runs perfectly on this laptop when Windows 98 is used. As such, we recommend that older, slower laptops avoid running the newer versions of Windows (Windows 2000, Windows XP) as these operating systems are much more resource-intensive than the earlier operating systems.
