About Precision Score
Precision Score is the professional electronic scoring solution designed for both tournament and in-school training use. The Precision Score system is comprised of both system hardware and software and works with the Windows computer you already own! Precision Score is extremely easy to set up and use, and is highly configurable -- you are in control. Precision Score allows both one and two point scoring by the judges from the custom-designed hand controls. Precision Score is designed for use in Taekwondo and other Martial Arts. How It WorksThe Precision Score Control Box connects to your computer via the computer's parallel port. The Judges Hand Controls are connected to the Control Box. The Hand Controls may be lengthened by using the included extension cables and modular connectors. Each of the corner judges (from one to four are supported) are given a set of hand controls with red / blue buttons (one for each hand). When a judge believes a competitor has earned a point, they press their hand control button for that competitor. If a majority of the judges press their hand control buttons for that competitor within 1 second (user configurable), a point is scored. Points may be scored for both red and blue simultaneously. The Precision Score system also supports Differential Scoring rules which allow a competitor to earn two points for a kick to the face. When this feature is enabled the regular scoring works as usual, but when a judge sees a headshot they can "double-click" their button for two points. If a majority of the judges "double-click", the competitor will earn two points. Details about the match are displayed in real-time on the computer's monitor. These include: round number, time left in the round, points, deductions, warnings, and competitor names. The judges' button presses may also be shown on the screen if desired. The computer operator (timekeeper), who sits at the computer keyboard, watches for signals from the Center Referee and adjusts the warnings and deductions for each competitor using the computer keyboard and mouse. If the score needs to be adjusted, this may be done by the timekeeper without interrupting the match. System RequirementsTo install and run the Precision Score system, you must have a Pentium-class computer (266 MHz or higher recommended) with the following:
